Artist Statement
I sing and write lyrics as a self-healing process, unselfishly sharing personal stories that might help others. My goal is to be able to share my music on a global scale where it can financially support me as well.
I like to create lyrics in the dark where there are no distractions. The only thought in my head is the story that I am expressing through songwriting. I pair the lyrics with an instrumental track that I feel matches its tone. If the lyrics have verbs like cry or pain, I pick instrumentals that are moderate to slow tempos to match their dark tone. I know that I am successful when I feels chills with the music or feel an emotional attachment.
My newest single called “I Be the Best”, explores a happier and more confident version of myself. My prior work has been inspired from sad times in my life and I am ready to share happier music, moving away from slow tempos to something more upbeat. It will also be very enjoyable to perform this song live with choreography.
